Team PRP Apex2 R1 Shock Towers

Front and rear(1 pair) 3mm carbon fiber shock towers designed for Rally racing to get more droop and suspension travel from your Team Associated Apex2 kits when using longer shocks. Designed for use with 70mm and 80mm eyelet to eyelet shocks such as the Yeah Racing Big Bore Go dampers/shocks.

Do you only need Shock Towers for 70mm Length? That option is now available.

Requires additional hardware:
1. 5.8mm metal pivot balls or ball studs to reduce binding from the stock plastic pieces in the kit. The hollow balls that come in Traxxas #TRA1942 work well. Some other pivot balls may not give you enough motion (DO NOT use Hot Racing pivot balls. The set I tried were 5.9mm+ in size. DO NOT use Element RC pivot balls as they reduce suspension travel). We have been using the Traxxas hollow balls with M3 aluminum spacers to match stock pivot ball height or to further tune roll center.
2. Longer front and rear shocks: 70mm eye to eye front and 80mm eye to eye rear. Of course you can tune your total lengths but this is the starting point. We use Yeah Racing Big Bore Go shocks with various springs from other manufacurers. TheYeah Racing springs are a joke at how stiff they are. It is recommended to use the Apex2 Kit springs or other soft springs from multiple vendors.
